At IMED Centre, we offer a modern and non-invasive solution for hair thinning—Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy. This advanced treatment taps into your body’s natural healing ability by using your own blood to stimulate and support healthy hair growth. During the procedure, a small amount of blood is drawn and processed to concentrate the platelets—key components rich in growth factors. These are then precisely injected into areas of the scalp where hair loss has occurred. PRP helps reactivate weakened hair follicles, encourages new growth, and improves hair density and strength. The treatment is quick, safe, and virtually painless, with no downtime required. It’s an excellent option for individuals looking to restore hair fullness without surgery or synthetic products. PRP therapy at IMED Centre offers a natural, effective approach to hair rejuvenation—helping you regain confidence and enjoy healthier, thicker hair over time.

Prior to your PRP treatment at IMED Centre, you’ll have a consultation to assess your needs and medical suitability. It’s important to stay well hydrated and avoid alcohol, anti-inflammatory medications, or blood thinners unless cleared by your provider. These substances can interfere with your body’s ability to respond optimally to the PRP treatment. You’ll also be advised to eat a light meal before your visit and arrive with clean skin or scalp—free of any heavy products, creams, or oils. If you are prone to fainting during blood draws, it’s advisable to notify your clinician in advance so they can take extra precautions.
PRP is highly effective for individuals experiencing early signs of hair loss or thinning. It is also a popular post-hair transplant support treatment. However, it may not be ideal for individuals with platelet abnormalities, anemia, or advanced balding. A consultation at iMed will determine if PRP aligns with your condition and goals.
Most patients describe the experience as slightly uncomfortable, similar to any other injection. The process is brief, typically lasting only a few minutes, and any discomfort quickly subsides.
PRP treatments require little to no downtime. Most patients can return to daily activities the same day. It’s best to avoid heavy physical exertion or hair treatments for the first 48 hours.
While results vary from person to person, a standard starting protocol includes three sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments every 4 to 6 months are recommended based on your response.
PRP is not a definitive cure for genetic or hormonal hair loss (Androgenic Alopecia), but it can significantly slow its progression and enhance hair density. Regular sessions are essential for sustained benefits.
