Neuromodulators

Neuromodulator treatments at IMED Centre offer a non-surgical solution to temporarily relax overactive muscles, effectively softening lines and preventing deeper wrinkles from forming. These injectable treatments—commonly using botulinum toxin type A, as found in Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, or Nuceiva®—are quick, safe, and widely used to enhance appearance and treat certain medical conditions, such as excessive sweating or chronic migraines.

From Consultation to Transformation

Before your neuromodulator session at IMED Centre, you’ll consult with a licensed nurse to discuss your medical history and desired results. To reduce the chance of bruising, it’s advised to avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications, such as Aspirin or Ibuprofen, unless prescribed. Wear loose-fitting clothing around the treatment area and arrive with a clean face, free from makeup or skincare products.

Types of Treatment

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Smooth fine lines and prevent new wrinkles by relaxing the muscles that cause them. Common areas treated include the forehead, glabella (between the brows), and crow’s feet. This quick and virtually painless procedure typically delivers results within a few days and lasts several months.

Questions? We've Got Answers!

How Long Do the Results Last?

Effects generally appear within a few days and typically last 3 to 4 months. Some clients may see results lasting up to 6 months with consistent maintenance.

Are Neuromodulators Different for Men and Women?

Yes. Men may require higher doses and tailored injection techniques due to stronger facial muscles and different aesthetic goals. IMed Centre ensures a personalized approach for every client.

What Conditions Can Neuromodulators Help Treat?

Beyond aesthetics, neuromodulators may help alleviate migraines, excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), TMJ pain, and neck spasms.

What Happens If I Stop Getting Neuromodulator Treatments?

Over time, your wrinkles will gradually return to how they were before treatment—but they won’t be worse. In fact, the time you spent using less muscle movement has likely slowed the development of deeper lines.

Is Botox Safe?

Botox has been approved in Canada for over two decades and is also used for medical conditions such as migraines and cerebral palsy at much higher doses. It has more safety studies than some common over-the-counter medications and is derived from a naturally occurring bacterium—similar to how penicillin is derived from mold.

Will My Friends or Family Be Able to Tell I Had Something Done?

Not unless you tell them. The results are very natural. Most people just look more rested and refreshed. There is no downtime, so no one will suspect you’ve had a procedure done.
