Neuromodulator treatments at IMED Centre offer a non-surgical solution to temporarily relax overactive muscles, effectively softening lines and preventing deeper wrinkles from forming. These injectable treatments—commonly using botulinum toxin type A, as found in Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, or Nuceiva®—are quick, safe, and widely used to enhance appearance and treat certain medical conditions, such as excessive sweating or chronic migraines.

Before your neuromodulator session at IMED Centre, you’ll consult with a licensed nurse to discuss your medical history and desired results. To reduce the chance of bruising, it’s advised to avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications, such as Aspirin or Ibuprofen, unless prescribed. Wear loose-fitting clothing around the treatment area and arrive with a clean face, free from makeup or skincare products.

Botox has been approved in Canada for over two decades and is also used for medical conditions such as migraines and cerebral palsy at much higher doses. It has more safety studies than some common over-the-counter medications and is derived from a naturally occurring bacterium—similar to how penicillin is derived from mold.
